This website
ringlatch.com sets no cookies and runs no advertising scripts. The pages are served by Cloudflare, which keeps ordinary server logs. The missed-call check and the sample night on the home page run entirely in your browser: what you type or pick there is never sent.
We do count visits, with a small script of our own (it runs on a Cloudflare Worker and database that we control). For each page view it records the page, the site you came from, any campaign tag in the link, your country, whether you are on a phone or a computer, and which of our buttons you press, such as the Founding Five button or a phone link. It keeps a random visitor ID in your browser's local storage so we can tell a return visit from a new one; it does not set that ID if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, and it does not keep the ID for visitors in Europe. A second random ID, kept in your browser's session storage until you close the tab, groups one visit's page views together. It stores no IP address, name or email address.
Phone calls
When you call the RingLatch demo line, or a shop's line that is forwarded to RingLatch, you speak with Riley, an AI assistant. Riley says it is an AI and that the call is recorded. We keep the recording, a transcript, a short summary, the number you called from, and what you tell Riley, such as your name, callback number, address and the problem. The summary goes by email to the shop owner (for the demo line, to the founders), with a link to the recording. The founders are copied on each shop's summary so we can check that it works.
If you talk to Riley from this website with the "Talk to Riley" button, your browser sends your microphone audio to our voice provider while the call runs. It is the same receptionist and the same recording and summary as a phone call. You have to press the button and allow the microphone first.
Messages you send us
If you use the "Ask us a question" form, we store your email, the name and shop you chose to give, your message, and the country your request came from, in our database, and a founder replies by email. If the form cannot reach us, it opens an email to ringlatch@gmail.com instead.
Shops that sign up
Checkout is handled by Stripe, which collects your business name, your name, phone, billing details and the business number you want forwarded. We see those details in Stripe and use them to set up your line and to email you. We do not see your full card number.
How we use it
To answer the call, write the summary, email it to the shop, set up and bill the shop, and fix problems. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages
RingLatch does not send text messages today. If that changes, texts will only be service messages from a shop the person contacted, and no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party. See Terms.
Who processes it for us
Retell AI (the voice assistant, call recording and transcripts), Supabase (our database), Google (sending the summary emails), Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting this website, and running the visit counter and the message form). They handle data only to run RingLatch. The "Talk to Riley" button loads a small software library from the jsDelivr network only when you press Start the call.
Deleting your information
A caller or a shop can email ringlatch@gmail.com and ask us to delete their call records, and we will. We keep records while a shop is a customer and delete a shop's records on request after it leaves.
